Beware, Oasis #262 based in Hyde, are celebrating nearing £10,000 raised
in the ten years the club has been going. The Laurel
and Hardy fan club meet to watch classic films of the comedy duo and
have a great laugh in the company of fellow fans, always a great night
to relieve the stresses of modern life. The latest donation was made to
Rethink Mental Illness after member Jonathan Hayward ran the Manchester
10k to raise money and awareness of the charity. Grand Sheikh Graeme
Green said 'We are delighted to support a fellow fan and member raise
money for a very worthwhile cause. Laurel and Hardy slapstick comedy is
universal and laughter is the best medicine. We welcome everyone to
join us on the last Thursday of the month'. The club meet at the
Cheshire Ring in Hyde (opposite Aldi).
Big Charity 10K!
